My trip to Germany

Hello there!

So in the beginning of August, and the end of my summer-holiday, I went to Germany with my parents. It was a really cool trip, and we went to two completely different places/cities in Germany. I would say that the first place was more for my parents, and se second one was more for me, which I think was really good, because we got to experience two totally different places even though we were in the same country.

So at about twelve o'clock when we had packed all of our stuff, and made sure that we hadn't forgot anything, we got in the car and began to drive to Germany. We had decided to take the car, and then the ferry to Germany, so that we could just drive from the first place, which were an area called Hartzen to the second place, which were Berlin, the capital of Germany.

After a kind of long drive and a little ferry ride, we were finally in Germany, and on our way to Hartzen. Hartzen is an area with a lot of woods and hills everywhere, and there was also a lot of little water fountains and steams. Basically a lot of nature, and it was very beautiful.

Our hotel was of course on a little hill, and was actually a hotel I think that a lot of people would visit during the winter period, because of all the hills and ski-facilities (there were a lot of little ski-lifts around the area, and even one just by our hotel).

The hotel was pretty nice and there was an indoor- and outdoor pool, a fitness room, a tennis court and a really nice buffet in the restaurant. The only bad thing about the hotel was that it was kind of old, so it was a bit outdated, and the WIFI weren't free, which we thought it would be (and yes, I know you're might not supposed to go on the internet all the time on your holiday, but there weren't so much to do at the hotel at all times). So instead of going on the internet, I ended up playing a lot of Yatzi and watched some films I had taken with me in the suitcase.

Of course we also had to walk around in the beautiful nature, because we were only at the hotel in the morning and afternoon/evenings. We walked up and down the hills (which actually was pretty hard sometimes) nearby the hotel, and it was very beautiful looking at all of the nature. We also drove down to a little town nearby with small old houses and little boutiques and restaurants.

After five days in Hartzen, it was time to leave for Berlin, which I was pretty excited about. So yet again we were sat in the car after checking out of the hotel, and drove all the way from Hartzen to Berlin.
In Berlin we had booked a small apartment, instead of just a hotel room, and it was really nice, accept it was on the third floor with no elevator, so we had to climb up the stairs with all of our heavy luggage. But we managed to get it all up, so that was fine.

In Berlin there was a lot more to look at than in Hartzen (well, not nature of course). We went to a lot of attractions for example the Reichstag, Under den Linden, Potzdammer Plats, Kurfürstendamm and so on. Basically there was a LOT to look at and a LOT of places to shop as well (which is one of my favourite things to do, haha). We also went to the Madame Tusssauds museum, which I didn't even know was there, but I saw on the Brandenburger street, so that was also really cool.
We also went on a sightseeing boat through the canal in Berlin and on another day, we went on a sightseeing bus. So I guess you could say that we did really see a lot.

After over a week with a lot of beautiful nature, expressions, sightseeing and shopping, it was time to take the long drive home. But all in all, it was a really nice trip and I really enjoyed everything from the nature in Haitzen to the shopping and sightseeing in Berlin.

Here is some pictures from the trip:
