Healthy Organic Berries!

Summer is indeed upon us, and that I can se every time I go out to my garden. This morning I decided to make a really delicious and healthy breakfast with the many strawberries and raspberries I've got in my garden. I made a fruit bowl with strawberries, raspberries, a banana and a pear.

A Summerday In Copenhagen

About a year ago two of my best friends went off to the USA to become exchange students and experience the high school- and everyday life as an american teenager. They both ended up in really good and friendly families and had a really good experience. But this year went by awfully fast, and last week I went to the airport twice to greet their homecoming. I am so glad to have them back, and it feels totally normal to be together, even though we haven't seen each other physically for a year. I'm myself going to the airport the day after tomorrow, because that's when I'm going to Crete, so we decided to take a little trip to the city, since the girls who just came home, hadn't been there for a year. It was really fun, and even though we have been there a million times, we decided to walk around like tourists and see some of the famous attractions Copenhagen has got. So we walked past the "RundetÃ¥rn" which is danish for "round tower" and is a big tower made by a former king many years ago. We also went to Nyhavn, which is a very old and famous harbor with houses which are about one hundred years old, and we saw "The Little Mermaid" which is an old statue of a mermaid from the danish author H.C. Andersen's fairytale with the same name as the statue.

A Nice Summerday

Hi there!

I just came home from a long week at the Roskilde festival, which you might have seen in my last blogpost, and it is amazingly hot, so I'm just sat here with some fresh watermelon and water, blogging, listening to Disclosure and enjoying life.

Roskilde Festival (Survive tips, concerts and more) #RF15

Hello there!

Its has exactly been one day since I arrived at home from the very famous danish festival; "Roskilde festival". The festival is one of the biggest ones in Denmark, and is situated in the city, Roskilde. The festival is very popular, and every year about 80,000 people go there. The festival is for eight days in total from the 27th of June til the 4th of July. There are lots of concerts and big names from the music industry performing every year, this year including Paul McCartney, Nicki Minaj, Disclosure, Kendrick Lamar, Muse and many more! I, myself, wasn't going at first because it is very expensive (about 200£ for the ticket + food, tent, chair and other necessities), and I did not know who I wanted to live in "camp"/tent with. But then at the beginning of this year, I though to myself that I had to experience it, so I grabbed my friends and got into their camp, called "camp trash" because our camp looked very unappealing and disgusting at the festival. So I bought my ticket and went on Saturday the 28th of June, and went home on Saturday the 4th early in the morning. The first three or four days of the festival was most about drinking, learning to find everything on the big festival ground, and just having fun. The biggest music names began to play at Wednesday so we just went around partying and also saw some smaller concerts. There was a lot of concert places and stages for artist to perform, but the most popular one called "Orange"-stage was only used on Wednesday and the days after, where all the big names performed. On thursday I saw Florence + the machine and Muse, and on friday, which was my last day, since we went home around 8 o'clock on Saturday  we saw as many concerts as we could. We started of by seeing the danish Marie Key, then we saw a bit of Kendrick Lamar, while we sat in the que for Disclosure to get front row. After about the hours of queuing, which went by quicker than you should think, we got into the "pit" which is the front of the audience by the stage. We actually went front row and right by the stage and it was amazing, since I love Disclosure, and they were the ones I had to see at the festival. All the concerts were on the Orange stage. After the concert (there were some time between every concert where we relaxed or ate food), we went back to our camp to change clothes and then back to the other stage, "Arena", which was just by the "Orange" stage. We were at Arena at 2AM where we saw KYGO. The concert finished at 3:30AM and I have never been to such a late concert before, but it was totally worth it and a perfect way to say goodbye to the festival. After the concert we went back to our tent and talked. It ended of with us going to sleep at 5AM and then we had to wake up at about 7AM. It was though, because I was very exhausted after walking everyday and lack of sleep in seven days straight, but it had been great, and I am thinking of going back next year.

If you are going to Roskilde here is some tips for you to survive the crazy festival:

1. Bring a lot of canned food (canned mackerel in tomato sauce is a must), or just any food that doesn't rotten that easily. It can be a bit expensive if you have to buy three meals a day.

2. Even though you bring canned food and food in general, save some money to buy food at the festival. It is very delicious and there are many choices.

3. Bring your credit/VISA card and very little cash, because it is easy to loose money compared to your card, which you can also block, if stolen.

4. Bring hand sanitizer. The toilets at Roskilde isn't the prettiest and there is no soap. I ended up using a whole little bootle of hand sanitizer (I did also share with my friends).

5. It is not as gross as you would think, unless you are very picky and maybe also if you live in the louder sections, such as L or C (there are different sections at the festival where you have your camp. I was in P, which is one of the more quiet sections).

6. If you want to sleep at night, choose one of the quiet sections such as P. And remember to bring earplugs.

7. There is showers and actually quite good ones, so it is possible to survive eight days without a trip home.

8. There is a lot of people from Norway.

9. Don't drink from other peoples alcohol bottles unless you know them and know that they are not ill.

10. I'm sure most people now this, but don't walk all alone and don't take drinks from others, there is drugs on the festival, even though the police on the festival is trying to prevent it.

11. The first days might be kind of long and you might have second thoughts about why you went, but as soon as it turns night, it is friday or you're at home, you're going to miss it.

12. Just have fun and enjoy the festival!
