About a year ago two of my best friends went off to the USA to become exchange students and experience the high school- and everyday life as an american teenager. They both ended up in really good and friendly families and had a really good experience. But this year went by awfully fast, and last week I went to the airport twice to greet their homecoming. I am so glad to have them back, and it feels totally normal to be together, even though we haven't seen each other physically for a year. I'm myself going to the airport the day after tomorrow, because that's when I'm going to Crete, so we decided to take a little trip to the city, since the girls who just came home, hadn't been there for a year. It was really fun, and even though we have been there a million times, we decided to walk around like tourists and see some of the famous attractions Copenhagen has got. So we walked past the "Rundetårn" which is danish for "round tower" and is a big tower made by a former king many years ago. We also went to Nyhavn, which is a very old and famous harbor with houses which are about one hundred years old, and we saw "The Little Mermaid" which is an old statue of a mermaid from the danish author H.C. Andersen's fairytale with the same name as the statue.
